The people dominate with most ethnic groups, such as Gurung, Magar, Thakali, and Manangba. The trekkers enjoy their vibrant cultures and traditions. The Thakali habitat is the upper Kali Gandaki valley surrounding the Jomsom. The Gurungs are spreadly distributed in the region, especially on the hills and valleys between the Marsyandi River.
The wide range of geographical features has led to diverse flora and fauna. The area below 1000 meters is considered tropical, so that the landscape will be greenery. As the altitude and alpine climate cool, the natural plants change the tropical species. You will encounter vegetation like rhododendron, oak, orchid, and pine. In the barren Himalayas, the tundra climates are only stunted bushes and some medical shrubs. You will see various wildlife, such as mammals, birds, reptiles, and other species.
